Things are in motion.
What kinds of things? Well, The Mourner, for one. We've got a production schedule and will be finished with principle photography by Dec. That's a good thing.
Another good thing- while sitting in a restaurant in Macon, I figured out exactly how the four stories need to fit together! So, in addition to The Mourner, Type 40 Pictures will be producing at least three other short features that will be combined into a montage film similar to Creepshow and Twilight Zone: The Movie. The other three stories are also some of my own short stories and include one vampire, one messiah, and one folk tale. There may be one other story from one of our other writers. I'm hoping there's time for it.
We've also talked with a group of independents down in Florida and look forward to working with them to produce their work- science fiction and comedy... it doesn't get much better than that!
Expanding on plans for The Mourner, Type 40 Pictures, in partnership with independent publisher Chaos Enterprises, Inc., will be producing the limited edition graphic novel based on the short story. Artists Lindsay Archer and Taylor Darnell are currently onboard.
Another exciting development is the creation of the Type 40 Pictures educational foundation. I can't say much, yet, but even my attorney is excited. In fact, he took me out to lunch after that meeting! Yeah, he's hyped!
All in all, it's been an amazing month, and I look forward to sharing more news with you as Type 40 Pictures grows and produces and releases its films!
