Dateline- 1 July 2009 Macon, GA

New independent film production company, Type 40 Pictures, LLC, opened its intellectual doors today in a flurry of imaginary pre-Fourth fireworks. Founder Howard Scott had this to say about the fledgling company:

"We have a vision. We want to become the go-to company for independent film-makers in the Southeast and, eventually, the country. Writers, directors, producers, actors, actresses, and production crews can come to us with ideas and expect to be heard and understood by industry professionals wanting to listen."

Type 40 currently has three projects on tap, one short feature and two feature-length films, all taking place in "the same world," according to Scott.

"One thing people will notice about our initial films is that, though not necessarily interconnected, they could be. One consistent, fictional world, with an obvious collaboration taking place between all parties involved in the execution of the projects. We are going to produce quality work from quality material. We will not do anything second rate. We can't afford to. We have to show that we can do this all the right way! And we will!"
